Genuine Love and Unity Go Hand And Hand. Hate Gets Extinguished By Standing Together Against Injustice And Owning Our Own Prejudices As We Work Through Them Individually, In Community, And Across ColorLines
The moment we cross over color lines and stand together is the moment darkness and hate starts losing it’s power. This may not be easy, yet having the hard conversations that close the divide instead of widen it, standing together instead of in silence, inviting understanding instead of shutting down the conversation or turning away from it, all give power and rise to real change. You and I can be a part of creating this new history, yet to truly heal, we must deal with the old. And as an African American Therapist, my heart is to work with clients of any race without judgment, inclusive of their cultural and racial experience whether that experience comes from one of privilege or struck with racial harshness.
Your experience is valid and I welcome walking through the experience you may possess. At the end of the day, I just want to understand what’s important to you and how what you experience affects your emotional and relational life. I’m grateful to be a part of your healing through pain and hurts and repairing relationships that are important. I know of that and how to care for those walking that path.
